About Nueva Andalucía I Hostal Restaurante

Just off the A-92 motorway between Málaga and Sevilla, this spot serves up a straightforward, unpretentious dining experience that feels like a local haven for travelers and locals alike. The focus is on classic Spanish fare, especially tapas and small plates, enjoyed alongside a thoughtfully curated selection of beers, wines, and spirits. It’s a place where traditional tastes meet casual comfort, offering everything from breakfast to late-night bites.

The atmosphere is relaxed and welcoming, with a cozy, quiet feel that suits both solo diners and groups. Many find it a convenient stop on the road—whether you’re passing through or looking for a calm place to unwind. The staff’s easygoing nature and attentive service add to the down-to-earth vibe, making you feel less like a customer and more like a guest.

The dining room itself is accessible and accommodating, with facilities designed to welcome families, including a kids’ menu and a play area, while also being wheelchair-friendly. It’s comfortable enough for a lingering meal or a quick bite, with table service that’s both efficient and friendly. For those who need it, takeaway and delivery options are available, so you can enjoy the food wherever your journey takes you.

If you’re the kind of eater who appreciates simple, honest food that doesn’t ask for much fuss, and you enjoy a good coffee or a cold beer in an unhurried setting, this place tends to hit the right note. While it primarily serves travelers—like truckers and road-trippers—it’s also a spot locals rely on for affordable, quality dining that doesn’t feel mass-produced or rushed. For anyone driving through the area, it offers a solid, grounded option away from the usual motorway stops.

What Locals Say

Charles From Google 5

Best Spanish food I've had in Spain,(the very best was in a Lebanese restaurant). This restaurant caters mainly for van and lorry drivers, but just as in England, truckers' cafes are the best. Had tapas all over Andalusia and I had nothing anywhere near as good as this. I've paid 55 euros in Seville for a meal which was just above edible. Here you will get a feast for less than 10 euros. Even the toilets were clean. There's plenty of parking too.

Air-con oasis with kids indoor playground in the red-hot 'sarten' of andalucia!

Came here on my way back from Sevilla and it was refreshing to see such good food, service, and prices at a rest stop. The service was almost instant and the food was quality and very delicious.

Our flight from the UK was diverted by bad weather and we were bussed from Malaga to Faro. This was a welcome break for a beer, a snack and a clean toilet. The gentleman behind the bar coped very well with the sudden influx of English speakers at 2 a.m. Traditional atmosphere. Only E8 for a beer, two coffees and an anis.

I went there to have lunch. I loved the food, specially a sandwich "serranito" and paella. The personal there are very efficient and fast to serve you what you ordered.
